How do I create Live2D avatars for FaceRig? You simply create a regular Live2D model by using the Cubism Editor and tutorials provided by Live2D, and then you tweak it using the FaceRig Studio documentation and import it in FaceRig Studio as a user-made Live2D Avatar. Note that the Live2D avatars do not work with the timeline editor in FaceRig Studio. Use the provided 2D avatars or create your very own (by using the Live2D Cubism Editor 3.0 – not included) and import them in FaceRig! If you are an artist you’ll be happy to know that the Live2D Cubism Editor for creating new Live2D models is available for FREE for individuals or small business entities (as defined by Live2D in their EULA), for both leisure and commercial uses! For legal details (especially if you are a business) please read the Live2D Cubism Editor EULA. We define a SME as a business whose total income in the previous fiscal year was less than the equivalent of $200 000 US dollars, and that will not use the FaceRig Studio for Individual Creators software in sub-contracted work for companies that do not fit the SME criteria (for legal information please read EULA: This license does not allow the program to be operated by the public at large, for that use case you need the FaceRig Studio for Event Booths or FaceRig Studio for Event Booths with Live2D license. This FaceRig Studio for Individual Creators licence represents a one time perpetual seat for commercial use by individual creators operating social media accounts that have a follower or subscriber count that is less than 100 000 per social media platform, small and medium enterprises (SME) and a strictly non-profit organization or a registered charity.
It is meant to be an open creation platform so everybody can make their own characters, backgrounds or props and import them into FaceRig Studio. The output can be streamed in real time, saved as a movie or exported as.fbx animation. FaceRig Studio is a professional software which enables anyone to digitally embody CGI characters using different motion tracking sensors.
